Community’s Child is a nondenominational Christian organization providing homeless and disadvantaged children and families with healthy alternatives to abuse, abandonment, poverty and hopelessness. Their transitional shelter offers homeless women with children a safe place to obtain advanced educations, support services and the resources to move on to self-sufficiency. The Hope Community Center offers low-income families programs to enhance their health, and educational, social and spiritual development.

Healthy Bags
Community’s Child’s Healthy Bags Program delivers nutritious groceries to food-insecure school-age children every Friday. Volunteers fill each bag with nutritious nonperishable items, fresh fruits, vegetables and whole grain bread.  There is enough food in each bag to feed a family for the weekend. This program relies heavily on community donations and volunteerism.  Please consider being a Hunger Hero by donating to help feed local food-insecure children and their families.
