The St. Peter's Mission Committee began exploring the idea of having an international partner in mission. We sent our first small delegation to Managua in 2009 and have traveled there annually ever since. We now have a formal partnership with CIEETS which stands for, The Interchurch Center of Theological and Social Studies. Rather than undertaking the traditional mission work of immediately stepping in with structural improvement projects, this partnership is being developed in accordance with the Presbyterian Church (USA)'s approach of doing mission in partnership with those whom we seek to support in the spirit of mutuality and respect, spending time learning about each other's culture and sharing our faith journeys.
