Insisting on Hope this Advent – Two different worship services will be offered at St. Peter’s during Advent (the four Sundays preceding Christmas). The on-going 10:00 am Sunday service will continue to be a blended service in the sanctuary with organ, praise band, choir, and children’s church.
In addition during Advent, an 8:00 am reflective worship service with communion and piano and cello accompaniment will be available in Reeves Hall, overlooking the serene Pacific Ocean.
Both services will have the same inspiring message and warm hospitality.
The holiday season can be a difficult time for those experiencing grief, loneliness, and burdens of all kinds. St. Peter’s offers a quiet service of reflection and peace in a beautiful serene sanctuary at 5:00 pm. Open to the community.
The annual St. Peter’s by the Sea “Christmas Music Spectacular” is back with performances at 4:30 pm and 7:00 pm on Sunday, December 14.
Celebrate the spirit of the season with an unforgettable evening of festive music and holiday cheer for all ages.
The Christmas Music Spectacular is an immersive, multimedia experience for the whole family. This year’s concert will feature cherished carols, heartwarming live performances, and beautiful seasonal arrangements by talented musicians and singers from St. Peter’s choir and community.
Admission is free. An offering will be taken to support the costs of the Spectacular and bake sale proceeds will benefit those in need. Bring donations of detergent/dryer sheets for Laundry Love project in San Pedro. Mark your calendars, invite family, friends and neighbors, and come ready to be inspired with a magical Christmas event.
St. Peter’s by the Sea will have open doors on Christmas Eve welcoming all who are looking for a place and people with whom to celebrate Jesus’ birth. The 4:00 pm service will be ideal for families and the young of heart with the Christmas story enacted by the children, complete with rascally sheep and bathrobed wise people. The 7:00 pm service will include an inspiring Christmas message, candlelight, hymns, choir, praise band and organ music in the beautifully decorated sanctuary.
